Blackjacket Group was originally founded in 2010 by Amilkar M. Velez as Quintessence Consultants LLC, which focused on consulting for various entities in their security and loss prevention needs.  As time progressed, Amilkar noticed there was a void that existed in the delivery of quality security and investigative services.

Focusing on the 3E’s approach to problem solving (Enforcement, Engineering, and Education), the company evolved into Blackjacket Security.  Blackjacket Security offered unparalleled delivery of security services in both armed and unarmed capacities, investigative services and training programs in the security, investigative and emergency services field.

The company continued to grow and in 2013 it once again evolved into what is known as Blackjacket Group. This allowed the company to compartmentalize the services offered. Each component of the company focuses on a specific discipline. Blackjacket Security focuses on the delivery of security services. This unit works hand in hand with Blackjacket Investigations.

Blackjacket Training runs the Public Safety Academy. Teaching under the guidelines of the American Heart Association and the New Jersey State Police, our course offerings include SORA classes (Security Officer Registration Act), ACLS, PALS, BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR, Heartsaver CPR and Heartsaver First Aid.

This structure allows each unit to work independent of each other yet at the same time allows for collaboration to ensure the highest of quality of service. Blackjacket Group also runs a store selling safety and security related products.
